Off The Street Club Auxiliary Board

The mission of the Auxiliary Board is to ensure a future filled with hope and play for the children of Off The Street Club through friendship, mentorship, and fundraising support.

Who We Are

The Auxiliary Board was first convened in October 2002 with a mission to support Off the Street Club in its century-long mission to bring help for today and hope for tomorrow to the at-risk children of Chicago’s inner city.

The Auxiliary Board is a group of young professionals within Chicagoland with a vested interest in helping the children of Chicago’s West Garfield neighborhood with their harrowing day-to-day struggle against gangs and drugs. Members work to spread the word about Off the Street Club (OTSC) through various channels, such as fundraising, marketing, annual signature events and more.

The primary goal is to engage friends, families, neighbors and co-workers who are part of the city of Chicago, but may be unaware of OTSC and all of the little miracles that happen every day on Karlov Avenue. The Auxiliary Board believes that the deserving OTSC children should all have the privileges of growing up to be upstanding citizens who continue to shape the face and fabric of our magnificent city.

Our members represent diverse backgrounds including advertising, law, financial services, accounting, real estate, publishing, sales, and public relations. The Auxiliary Board continuously works to dedicate their time and resources for a cause they truly believe in. If you are interested in becoming involved with the Auxiliary Board, please see the info at the bottom of this page.

You will always find happiness volunteering with OTSC

Volunteering with OTSC has been a cornerstone of my time in Chicago. These kids show up every day with so much joy and eagerness to learn about the world and that has, in turn, seeped into my own life, encouraging me to find casual joy in the everyday. Whether it be the mentorship role I play at weekly tutoring or the spontaneous fun at Third Thursdays, you will always find happiness volunteering with OTSC.
